Why the Method Has to Follow the Fibre
Hotels, boutique offices and showrooms use rugs to do what paint and furniture cannot, signal taste. It is slower than a machine, and on an irreplaceable asset that is the point.
Durable synthetic contract rugs are a different problem with a different answer. Those fibres are stable and colourfast, so they go through our rug-washing machine, where the agitation and volume of water lift out the embedded grit that hand work cannot reach on a hard-wearing synthetic pile. Wool-blend contract pieces stay with the hand process. Both carry a flat commercial rate, which makes putting the whole rug inventory on a schedule straightforward, and every rug is washed at our own facility rather than passed to a third-party wash house.

Depending on the piece and its condition, rugs are either cleaned in place, common for large foyer rugs that cannot practically move, or collected, cleaned, dried under controlled conditions, and returned. Scheduling wraps around your operation: overnight for hotel public areas, weekends for offices. Build in the drying window when you plan it, because a rug is dried flat under controlled conditions and monitored until the foundation is dry through, which can take up to two days. Rushing that is what warps a foundation, so we return a rug when it is properly dry and tell you the date up front.

What we will always tell you first: existing damage is not soiling.
